Join a UK-first, creator-led collective licensing initiative for digital creators.

Current status: DCU is a UK-based, creator-led collective and proposed licensing initiative. It is currently an unincorporated association and is not yet a registered trade union, collecting society or Community Interest Company.
Who can join

Any UK-based digital creator.

DCU is open to writers, journalists, newsletter authors, video creators, educators, course creators, social creators, B2B creators, consultants and experts who publish online.

Founding membership is free for year one

As a founding member

  • Help shape DCU’s early priorities and governance.
  • Be among the first to participate if DCU secures licence income and an approved distribution policy applies.
  • If you choose to proceed, register 5-10 pieces of work under a separate Creator Contribution Licence mandate.
